  5. I can't wait to read as the details unfold. It is delightful to hear such news.

We are walking this path as well. Our now 19-month old adoptive son has been with us 5 months and adds great joy. Our 10-month old foster baby had his TPR hearing last week where his biological Mom relinquished. Now waiting for Dad to do the same. Prayerfully.

What a journey you will be experiencing. I pray that your path is straight and filled with much joy!

    Blessings,
    Laura

  6. Wow!!! I was about 6 posts behind in my reading, so I got all of this development in about 5 minutes!! I'm so excited for y'all.

Our permanency hearing for the 18-month-old girl we're trying to adopt keeps getting put off (a month at a time), but the next one is scheduled for Feb 18.

Hopefully, we'll be able to move forward with that very soon.

    Exciting stuff!! :) :) :)

  8. By the way, Karla:

TPR = Termination of Parental Rights

It's the legal process by which children are freed for adoption. Without TPR (or a relinquishment of rights), that child is not available for adoption.

I enjoy spirited debates just as much as pats on the back. Feel free to grab your soapbox and let 'er loose ... realizing, of course, that I am in charge of the all-powerful DELETE button. :-)
