Delayed

Our move to Nepal has been unexpectedly delayed by a surprising development in the Blandings family. See the following video (or this direct link) for more details.

Please note: If you are my Facebook friend, please refrain from posting comments there. Your thoughts here on the blog, however, are quite welcome. :-)

  36. Congratulations! When I saw that you put "Seven" on the ultrasound pic, it made me think of the character on one of the Star Trek spinoffs (I believe it was "Voyager"). The character was named "Seven of Nine". Hmmmmm...maybe a prophetic thought? ;) LOL

  38. Hey Mary Grace, someone commented on an old post of mine today which led me to re-read it, and re-read all the comments, and I saw this comment from you and the date... and I wondered.... how soon to this date was it that you started to suspect you were pg? LOL.... how funny God is...

You know that I shout amen to this one. :-)

Your transparency was instrumental in pulling me back from the brink of what truly became a form of idolatry for me. I felt that I was less of a woman, a wife, and a mother for the size of my family. I felt that God was in some way cursing me with infertility and multiple miscarriages. I felt that my faith was clearly NOT enough.

The biggest shame is taking something good, and beautiful, and turning it into something ugly. Having children, raising a family ... these are good thigns. But they aren't The Best Thing. The Best Thing is JESUS.

I'm so happy to be set free to remember my first love.
