The List--a poll

And my very first poll it is, too!

After receiving loads of emails asking for pdf copies of The List, I thought it might be easier to just post the thing on the blog. But if the only interested parties are the ones I've already heard from, well ... I don't want to waste valuable web space repeating information. Therefore, a poll:

Please post your list! I have two boys (ages 3 and 5). I try to read quality books to them, but I am having a hard time finding "chapter" books that appeal to them while still qualifying as "worthwhile" reading to me.

I second the request to please post the list. I have a 2 year old son and a 5 year old daughter. She loves the Five in a Row curriculum- but he seems to get little if anything out of it at this point. Any suggestions for keeping him busy during school would be greatly appreciated. He does puzzles, shapes, color, look at books but nothing keeps his attention. If I let him out of his chair to play while we school - then nothing gets accomplished because I am constantly chasing him. Sorry for the vent session.

Can I tell you I've been waiting with baited breath for a listing of your favorite books????

Now - I realize this will be a list of books for kids but, there's hope!! She's putting out a list of good books!!! Someday she may post her OWN personal 'have to read before I die' books!!!

Waiting, waiting, waiting.......

I post a list of the books I read to my kids, but it's actually another blog, just like my recipe index. Only the link shows up on the sidebar of my blog(s), so it doesn't clog up my page. Does that make sense?

Ps. Yes, please post your list!

Please post your list! We do TONS of reading with SL for the olders, but I think they're all over little Austins head and I know he feels left out..so if you have any recommendations for the toddler set, I'm all ears!

All that valuable web space that would be used up. Ah, you make me smile, Mary Grace.

I have one, but I still want to do at least two more. One for "middle school" and one for "high school" because I figure what she can emotionally handle then is different from present even if she can read it. Those lists can also have some more contemporary works compared to present which is mostly classic literature or older award books.

I think you should post it. I even misspelled it as "listerature". I may see something I want to add.
