Above is a photo of Bee, the delightful, charming, wistful girl who we've sponsored through friends for the past four years. This spirited child absolutely captured Mr. Blandings' heart during his most recent trip to Asia; it was their first face-to-face meeting, and one that caught both of them off-guard with its ease and power. Bee is an orphan of perhaps the most tragic kind. As usual, I won't share the full story; it belongs to Bee, and will stay that way.
Despite the odds being overwhelmingly not in our favor, we have chosen to follow our hearts and pursue adding Bee to our family. After all, God doesn't play odds ... He makes them. And that's all the assurance I need.
Which leads us to change #4, of course.

Praise the Lord!!!
So glad God is keeping His promise and settling Bee into a home!
(She is so beautiful, by the way!)
I've been lurking at your blog for a long time (maybe I've commented before; I don't know). This is absolutely thrilling! We are in the process of adopting a baby girl from Rwanda, and hope it is the first of many adoptions to come to our family. God bless and I will be praying for your family and for Bee to find her way to you (or for God to lead her to you, as is really the case).
so like details?! when? yay!!!
Hooray! I am so happy for you all! I will be praying that this new and exciting "change" will be one that is quick and full of great blessing and promise from our gracious Saviour.
Just beautiful!
She is gorgeous, and I REJOICE with you! I look forward to hearing more about this sweet girl and what it will take for your family to bring her home. As a fellow adoptive mom, I'm praying right along side you as you wait for your daughter.
MG,
What wonderful news to read right before I shut down the computer tonight. I am so happy for you all and will pray that the greatest odds-maker will make the adoption happen for you all.
Wow, she is a pretty girl too. It is just so unfortunate that children get orphaned, but God has made a way for adoption for many of them.
That's awesome!! Will be praying for God to open all the doors for this to happen for your family and for Bee! Best wishes!!
Oh, I love you, MG. I think you're my long lost sister. I'll be praying for you guys... for all of it.
Awesome! Bee is a picture of beauty... that smile, so lovely.
Feeling like this deserves a "go team, go!"

I was caught off guard when I read your post this morning and started to cry.
She's beautiful. I'll be praying for God to make the path straight--and short--to bring Bee into your family and home.
Shes beautiful MG!
COOL!!!
I'm so excited for you guys!!! - love the statement that God makes the odds - so true :-)
Praise God! for his freedom to act on what the world would call a whim but what is truly a leap of faith and obedience.
How wonderful!
wow, you inspire me! Lord open the doors where they need to be opened, prepare the hearts of this family and Bee for this wonderful blessing!
