The Latest

Fostermom says that she thinks Baby Boy will be much better off in our family--namely, with a Momma and a Daddy, with Christians, with homeschoolers (suddenly it's a selling point? Who knew?!?!), with folks who have a steady marriage and a solid support group.

We pick him up for a transitional visit on Saturday.

Please be in prayer for fostermom A. To realize that she can not offer these things means that she senses the lack in her own life.

AS I was tooling about the kitchen, post news flash tonight, MG . . .that thought occurred to me. Her own heart ache has to be going beyond merely giving baby boy a home . . .

how poignant and painful at the same time.

Herein lies the power of the Redeemer. May He call her name, guard the fields of the fatherless and [widow] single mom . . .

I have a tremendous amount of respect for foster moms who decide that the home of others is best as a permanent placement for children they have poured into.

As you may know, if you've kept up with our blog, we are definitely getting our little girl (judge approved it on Monday, and transition is taking place now).

My heart aches for the foster mom who loved her and raised her for the first 18 months of her life, and now is unselfishly giving her to us.

So is yours definitely happening?
