I love typing one-handed for the simple fact that it means the other hand is full.
Right now, my left arm is comfortably occupied in cradling the sleeping warmth of my five day-old foster daughter.
She's a long-term placement with adoption potential. Bio Mom has two other kids in the system. Baby Girl went into care at birth; I picked her up from the hospital Wednesday.
Bliss.

Wow, MG. :)
Perhaps that's the reason that social worker wouldn't drive out to your place... cause this little girl was meant to be snuggled up in your arms keeping you from typing easily.
WOW. I'll be praying for this whole deal... you are so much fun. The more I get to know you, the more I love you.

beautiful....I know you are on cloud nine. Enjoy these precious moments of bonding with this sweet one!
so, how are things going? how is oliver doing with the baby? are you getting any sleep? inquiring minds want to know ~wink~
liz
No, Liz, I am NOT getting any sleep. :-) Baby girl has decided to save her deepest, most restful sleep for the hottest parts of the day (a wise choice, actually) and is happy and alert come midnight. Since I'm a naturally early-to-bed-early-to-rise kinda girl, I'm sure hoping that a) it gets cooler here real quick or b) she decides that I'm far more interesting a momma in the daylight hours. :-)
lol.. i remember those days. i , having nursed and co-slept with all mine, found it a BIG difference to bottle feed, get out of bed and have this awake baby. system shocker much??
good luck!
