Dazed
Core 5 (+ necessary additions such as math, LA and foreign language) seems to take this family four and a half hours. 270 minutes.
I'm not saying it's not worth it. I mean, hey--if you can spend ten minutes watching hula dances on youtube and call it school, life's not all bad. But ohmygoodnesswe'reonlyonweektwo ... anditwillonlygetmoreinvolved.
Deep breath. Composing myself. O.k. ...

Wow! I can't recall when it took us less than 6 hours of work a day. It's funny how your perspective changes. . .
Yes, deep, DEEP breath!!
Hang on, sista! The current will even out . . .the river will smooth - a couple more weeks and . . . Yep. Smooth sailing is ahead. good thing, too. There's plenty of other matters to pray aobut in your world, I see.
I'll take an arm, Aaron style. The load is always easier with two.
{hugs}
Lord help me, we're only on week 5 of core K and we're already behind.
Hang in there, Mary Grace! I know school takes a while. Although, it is odd, because I seem to remember school only taking until 10am and then doing Read Alouds after that.
I guess is the "good ol' days" problem again: All school was as short as Kindergarten, right?
Right?
[smile]
Hang in there. Deep calming breaths. You're doing fine. You'll be fine. And when you're not, there's grace!

You got me to doing some calculating. We average 4 hours and 45 minutes of school a day (this does not include outside activities other than the co-ops we attend).
I know you cover a lot AND you are homeschooling 3 children. I'd say that you're doing great!
